25 March 2001 Basingstoke Masters Open Meet

Acton Swimming Club returned from the Basingstoke Open Masters Meet with 12 medals - David Sopher making the biggest splash with 2 golds, 1 silver and 3 bronzes.

Sarah Watkiss with a silver and Malcolm Munro with 2 bronzes picked up the the individual prizes, and the relay team of Ken Adey, Martin Fox, Malcolm Munro and David Sopher secured golds in both the freestyle and breaststroke races along with a silver in the medley relay.

Danielle Long, Rosemary Heath and Pamela Thompson also did well as Acton came 10th out of 50 competing clubs.
