MALCOLM MUNRO MASTERS BRITAIN

Acton Swimming Club member Malcolm Munro is the 2002 British Masters Champion for both the 50m and 100m breaststroke in the 55-59 age group.

During a fantastic Jubilee bank holiday weekend at the Crystal Palace long course meet, Malcolm won the 50m and 100m breaststroke, took 3rd in the 200m breaststroke and 4th in the 50m and 100m backstroke.

Malcolm's results were as follows:

1st - 50m breaststroke 39.08
1st -100m breaststroke 1:31.58
3rd - 200m breaststroke 3:25.93
4th - 50m backstroke 38.27
4th - 100m backstroke 1:25.17

This is the first time Malcolm been a British Masters Champion, and the first time Acton Swimming Club has been able to boast a British Masters Champion. Congratulations to Malcolm and the Masters coach Ian Hubble from all at the club.
