Five members of Acton SC won a staggering 16 medals at the Middlesex Marsters Swimming Championships at Barnet Copthal.

Malcolm Munro, 55, won gold in the 100m individual medley in a new County record time of 1:20.21 and also gold in the 200m freestyle, 50m backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 50m butterfly and silver in the 50m freestyle.

Sarah Watkiss won gold in the 200m freestyle and two silvers in the 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke and two bronze in 100m individual medley and 50m freestyle.

Martin Fox, 48, won gold in 50m backstroke, silver in 50m freestyle and bronze in 50m breaststroke.

The 200 years team of Ken Adey, Martin Fox, Malcolm Munro and Tony Skinner struck gold twice in the freestyle and medley relays.

The 160 years mixed team of Ken Adey, Danielle Long, Tony Skinner and Sarah Watkiss narrowly missed bronze and finished fourth.
